Elisabeth lectures extensively in the UK and Europe on the subject of paediatrics and care of the pregnant pelvis.
She owns a clinic in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and is involved in research on chiropractic care in pregnancy.
She is a Fellow and Director of Academic Affairs of the Royal College of Chiropractors’ Faculty of Pregnancy and Paediatrics. She has helped develop patient record questionnaires for paediatric chiropractors and is a mentor and CPD coordinator for Scotland for the Royal College of Chiropractors. Her evidence-based seminars are focused on the development of practical “hands on” skills in the treatment of the pregnant female, infants and children with a comprehensive set of techniques that can be used across your practice, for patients of all ages.
This 16 hour seminar will mix lecture and practical sessions and will focus on:
✓Caring for the Pregnant Pelvis.
✓Red flags in Pregnancy.
✓Optimise neurological function for mum and baby.
✓Stability and alignment of pelvis.
✓Optimal Foetal Positioning –helping the baby to get into a better position.
✓Hypermobility & pregnancy.
✓Exercise & Nutritional advice for pregnancy.
✓Help prepare for labour and post partum.
✓Forward-leaning inversion, to give room in the lower uterine segment.
✓Side-lying release, to give room in the pelvis and soften or balance the pelvic floor.
✓Standing sacral release, to allow sacrum and sacral ligaments room for mobility and expansion.
✓Transverse Fascial Planes incl pelvic floor and thoracic outlet
There will be a practical session covering techniques suitable for all ages incl. spinal, cranial, fascial and muscular techniques.
